TavernCon IRL 2025 Event Schedule Released!

TavernCon IRL 2025 in Los Angeles, California is coming up and is officially just one month away! Here is the final/official schedule of planned events. Of course, attendees who arrive early, are staying late, or want to strike out on their own are encourage do come up with their own activities to have fun with during the event. Here is a breakdown of each event, with additional information & maps so you’re ready to roll initiative for each encounter!

Primary Event Hotel / Meet-up Location – Friday June 20th through Monday June 23rd
The Sonesta ES Suites will be the primary hotel where most attendees will be staying, this is also going to be the default place for when we hangout in between scheduled events (and during some!).

Friday June 20th, 4:30pm to 7:30pm – Drinks at the Detwenti Tavern
Every good adventure starts in a tavern, and our adventure does too! Whether you arrive early or your flight just landed, come join us for some food and drinks at the Torrance Tavern. A great way to unwind from your trip into Los Angeles and get to know the group as we’ll get to meet first time and returning adventurers alike!

Friday June 20th, 8:pm – ??? – Paladins and Pool Noodles
Fans of West Coast old-school hip hop know the best place to go on a Friday night after having some drinks is going Back to the Hotel. Drop off your bags and grab your swimsuit & dice, as we’ll be heading poolside for some board, card, and roleplaying games. Um…Actually in the Jacuzzi anyone?

Saturday June 21st – 8:00am – 8:00pm – Gaming in Mom’s Basement
TavernCon IRL’s Primary Objective – A full day of D&D and Adventurers League games! Join us at this incredible FLGS where we’ll be running games across 3 tables from Morning til Sunset! Game schedules will be posted in the discord channels, so be sure you’ve packed your dice, minis, dice towers, dice jails, bags, character sheets, and anything else to play with and show off!

Saturday June 21st – After D&D ~9pm to Midnight – Demiplane of La La Land
No trip to LA is complete without a little stargazing, and no place is better for seeing the stars than Hollywood! One of the most famous streets in LA, this section of Hollywood Blvd. is home to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theater (formerly known as Grauman’s Chinese Theater), Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, El Capitan Theater (where Jimmy Kimmel films), The Dolby Theater (where the Oscars are filmed) and so much more. With iconic views of the Hollywood sign, and Griffith Park observatory, and a thousand and one tourist traps and costumed mascots ready to empty your pockets ;P.

Sunday June 22nd – 10am – Heroes’ Feast Brunch
Prepare for your return trip home or to take on the rest of the bonus objectives by gathering with everyone for a Heroes’ Feast Brunch at the Lazy Dog Restaurant! This is a great place for some good food, and best of all, they not only allow your dog animal companions to join the meal, they have special menu options for them too!

Sunday June 22nd – Afternoon – Exploration Pillar
You can’t come visit Los Angeles without catching some waves on our world famous beaches, and none is more well known than the one at the Santa Monica Pier! This world-famous pier has been seen in movies and TV worldwide, and for good reason, it’s an incredible place to visit. Enjoy the rides like the West Coaster rollercoaster and the Pacific Park’s famous Ferris Wheel, carnival games, and food at Pacific Park. Get the best view of the Pacific Ocean and beaches. A vacation spot fit for any hard working adventurer after they’ve saved the world…again.

Monday June 23rd – Evening – BONUS OBJECTIVE – Spelljammer Acadamy
For those adventurers staying in Los Angeles a little longer and looking to see more of Los Angeles and to prepare themselves for the Astral Sea, there is no better place than the Griffith Park Observatory. Another world famous location, this observatory not only is an amazing place to learn about the stars and planets and everything in space, but it also offers the best view of the entirety of Los Angeles, including nearby Downtown LA and Dodger Stadium, and the closest view of the Hollywood Sign without actually hiking up to it. Recommended evening as an evening activity (~5pm) to be able to see the views, catch the sunset off the west coast and Pacific Ocean, but to stick around at night and possibly take a look through the telescope into the night skies.
