Adventurers League Play Rules
& How To Get Started!

The D&D Adventurers League is an ongoing official campaign for Dungeons & Dragons. It uses the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons rules, and features the Forgotten Realms setting. You can play D&D Adventurers League games literally anywhere. Players use the fifth edition rules to create a character and bring that character to games anywhere D&D Adventurers League play is happening.

What Do I Need To Play?

Players:
– You’ll want to have either a Player’s Handbook or a free copy of the D&D Basic Rules if you are unfamiliar with how to play D&D (or ask us in the discord for any questions you have)
– Check out the Adventurers League Players Guide for detailed rules on how Adventurers League organized play works.
– An Adventurers League character logsheet , we also recommend using this website: AdventurersLeagueLog.com to keep track of the games you play

Dungeon Masters:
– You’ll want to have either a Player’s Handbook or a free copy of the D&D Basic Rules if you are unfamiliar with how to play D&D (or ask us in the discord for any questions you have)
– The Adventurers League Players Guide and Adventurers League Dungeon Master’s Guide for detailed rules on how Adventurers League organized play works.
– An official D&D Adventure, you can find them on DMSguild.com (if you are a DM on our server, we have a huge list of adventurers already prepared that can be setup in your Roll20 game in minutes to help save you time so you can focus on running games)

Rules & FAQ:
If you have further questions or want more information, check out the D&D Adventurer’s League FAQ.

Ready to play?
Join The Adventurer Leagues discord server and get started!

Register as DM & Host a Game:

If you are ready to host & DM an Adventurer Leagues game (or even a regular campaign), please join The Adventurer Leagues discord server and message one of the Admins (“BBEGs”) or Mods (“Familiars”).  They will add you to the DM Chat channel and work with you to get your game chat and Roll20 games setup.

When you DM an AL module, you earn rewards/progressions for your characters. You also get access to certain magical items and other bonuses you can assign to the characters you’ve created. A great way to give your character a boost or keep up while you DM.

Also we reward our DMs here on the server! As a thank you and incentive to be a Dungeon Master and running games here (Adventurer Leagues modules, campaigns, homebrews, one-shots), we have special gifts for the DM’s! They range from custom server emoji, up to free dice sets, D&D hardcovers, and even a custom miniature from HeroForge.com!
