The Adventurer Leagues discord Privacy Policy
Who we are
The Adventurer Leagues discord community (herein referenced as “TAL” or “we”) is owned and run by Julian Lopez dba JmanX Industries. You may contact us here if needed. Staff are voluntary positions filled by members of the community. The website, discord server, and all related social media accounts, including Twitch, Twitter/X, YouTube, and Patreon are run as a personal project & hobby to provide a free and open community for people to come play, discuss, and enjoy the D&D game, and related activities. The earnings from any of the monetary gains are put back into the server and its related activities for the benefit of the community. TAL is committed to the safety and privacy of all members and visitors.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
TAL does NOT intentionally collect any personal data of any members or keep logs of any activity outside the required operation of normal server activity. Any personal information that is obtained during the course of any operation is not saved by server staff or kept in any logs. If emails, discord private or public messages, are used for communication with any server member, visitor, Extra Life donor, or any other persons in the capacity of server staff duties, they are not kept or logged in any way outside of Discord’s chat histories (please reference Discord privacy policies), or stored as “Sent” emails. But in no way is any information intentionally saved or referenced, and TAL makes all efforts to reduce the amount of personal information needed to collect, and does not ever create any special logs or records of this information.
TAL only saves and collects information in two instances:
- Information gathered from the list of donations made to TAL’s Extra Life pages. This includes any provided information that may include Names, email addresses, discord handles, donation amounts, and any additional messages included. It does not include any financial information (please see Extra Life’s privacy policies for what info they collect) outside of donation amounts given to our Extra Life team/roster page here. This information is saved in order to accurately award and record donation incentive disbursement, as well as to track which incentives received the most donations so TAL can improve which donations we offer for future fundraising events, as well as overall donation totals.
- Information gathered from voluntarily answered surveys that are posted and requested on the discord server or website, using Google forms (please reference Google’s privacy policies for information they collect). This information is only saved for the purpose of collecting member opinions and voluntary involvement in server activities (such as volunteering to help be a Dungeon Master during a server fundraising event or is joining an in-person meet-up) to be able to better serve and improve our community for the enjoyment and preference of the server members and visitors.
With any information that we collect, we will never use this information to create any kind of log or record of server members or their information outside of the above uses. We do not maintain any record or log of any information for the intention of trying to share, sell, or monetize any of that information, and will refuse any public or private offer for this information, outside of any court-ordered/law enforcement request that we must comply legally with. We also do not use any information gathered for any marketing or commercial purposes.
